Energy Star®, the EPA and DOE have announced that starting 1/1/2015 they will be checking for Window and Door Installation Instructions from all window and door manufacturers. Without them, manufacturers will not be able to qualify for Energy Star acceptance.

While, many companies have instructions for installation, what is often missing is required instructions on removing all types of windows; flashing all installations (even blindstop and pocket installs), and covering all installations where the old frame is removed, and all installations where the old frame is left in.
